Turkey for Thanksgiving day!!
Thanksgiving is a very special day celebrated in US symbolizing intercultural peace, family and gratefulness.
We should all celebrate and be grateful for everything that brought us where we are today!
We are bringing you a very simple recipe for Thanksgiving, or for any other occasion when you want to bring closer your families and friends or you want to share a piece of joy with the people in need.
Coming back to the promised recipe, the star of the traditional cuisine was always the turkey.
Roasting an entire turkey can be intimidating but we propose an extremely simple method which requires minimum effort and the result is amazing.
Crunchy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside. It has only three ingredients: turkey, butter and salt, but as we always promote, get crazy creative and use the spices which entertain the most your senses.
Enjoy!!!

Step 1: - spread the salt onto a oven tray. Make sure you cover the area that the turkey will lay over. Every part of the turkey that will not be on the salt, will get in direct contact with the tray and that part will be burned. Also there will be a lot of smoke so you should cover the tray with a layer of at least 1cm (0.4 inch).
Step 2: - place the thanksgiving turkey on top of the salt, in the center of the tray.
Step 3: - add spices on top of the turkey. You can also marinate the turkey before hand, but the beauty of this recipe is the fact that the turkey will be great without any kind of spices.
Step 4: - place the tray with the thanksgiving turkey in the oven
Step 5: - keep the turkey in the oven without doing anything else. The turkey should stay in the oven until it looks like in the photo here.
This means, you should keep the turkey for at least 3.5 hours for a turkey 3kg (6.6 pounds) at a temperature of about 130 degrees Celsius (266 degrees Fahrenheit).
Again, the beauty of this is: if you forget the turkey in the oven, it should be ok(ish) for 1 extra hour, but don't push it :).
Make sure you check the turkey after 2 hours and every 30 minutes after those 2 hours.
